What Happens When You Never Give Up on Your Dreams

The Car That Was Once a Picture on My Wall
There is something different about achieving a dream you once thought was far away.
You don't just look at what you have.
You remember who you were when you had nothing but the dream.
A few days ago, I finally bought a car that I had wanted for a very long time.
And honestly, the car itself isn't even the part that got me emotional.
It was the memory.
Because quite sometime, I had a picture of this exact car hanging in my room.
I would look at it and imagine myself driving it one day.
At the time, it was just a picture.
There was no car.
There was no guarantee that I would ever own it.
There was just a dream and a decision that I was going to keep working towards the life I wanted.
Now I'm looking at that same dream in my driveway.
And sometimes I still have to remind myself that it's real.
But here's the part I really want you to understand.
This didn't happen in one day.
It wasn't one trade.
It wasn't one lucky opportunity.
It was months of small decisions, hard work, consistency, learning, failing, starting again and refusing to stop.
What you see today is the result of a process that started long before anybody was paying attention.
Over the past year alone, I've been blessed to achieve things I once could only imagine.
The G Wagon.
Two Cybertrucks.
A new house.
And so many other things that I don't even feel the need to post online.
When you look at all of that from the outside, it can seem like everything happened very quickly.
But I know the truth.
It didn't.
There were years of work behind that one year.
There were sacrifices.
There were difficult seasons.
There were moments when I had to keep going even when I couldn't see exactly where the road was taking me.
That's something people don't always understand about success.
People see the harvest. They don't see the planting.
They see the super car.
They don't see the picture that was hanging on my wall years ago.
They see the house.
They don't see the seasons when I was still building and figuring things out.
They see the results.
They don't see the process.
And that's why I don't want anyone looking at my life and thinking, "Kojo got lucky."
I don't believe I got lucky.
I believe I worked.
I believe I stayed consistent.
I believe I kept learning.
And most importantly, I believe God allowed the right things to happen at the right time.
God's speed.
There were things I wanted much earlier than I received them.
There were goals I thought would happen quickly that took years.
And looking back, I'm actually grateful they didn't happen when I wanted them to.
Because I needed the journey.
I needed the lessons.
I needed to become the person who could handle the things I was praying for.
That's something I want you to think about.
Sometimes you're asking God for the result when He's still preparing you for it.
Maybe you're looking at someone else's success and wondering why your own life isn't moving as quickly.
Don't.
You don't know what season they're in.
And they don't know what season you're in.
Your journey is yours.
When I was a university student, I didn't have the things I have today.
I had dreams.
I had ambition.
I had a picture on my wall.
And I had a decision that I wasn't going to give up on myself.
That's where everything started.
Not with the car.
Not with the house.
Not with the money.
With the decision.
The decision to keep learning.
The decision to keep working.
The decision to keep improving.
The decision to keep showing up even when nobody was clapping.
And that's the part of my story I want you to remember.
Because maybe you're currently in that season.
Maybe you're looking at someone else's results and thinking you're far behind.
Maybe you're building something and nobody understands what you're trying to do.
Maybe you've been working for months and you still don't see the results you want.
Keep going.
I know what it feels like to have a dream that exists only in your imagination.
I know what it feels like to look at something and say, "One day."
And I know what it feels like when that "one day" finally arrives.
But I also know that the car was never really the goal.
The goal was to build a life that I could be proud of.
A life where I could take care of the people I love.
A life where I could create opportunities for other people.
A life where the things I once prayed for became normal.
And even now, I don't feel like I've arrived.
I feel like I'm just getting started.
There are bigger dreams.
Bigger businesses.
More people I want to impact.
More traders I want to help.
More things I want to build.
The G Wagon didn't end the journey.
Neither did the Cybertrucks.
Neither did the house.
They simply reminded me that the things you work towards for long enough can eventually become your reality.
So if you're reading this and you have your own "picture on the wall," don't be ashamed of it.
Dream big.
Put the picture there.
Write the goal down.
Tell yourself what you want.
But then get to work.
Because a dream without action is just a picture.
The picture on my wall didn't buy the car.
The work did.
The consistency did.
The patience did.
The lessons did.
The failures did.
The discipline did.
And God's grace did.
That's why I want you to keep going.
Not because I can promise you that you'll have a G Wagon next year.
I can't.
And nobody honestly can.
But I can tell you this from my own experience.
Progress compounds.
The work you do today may not look impressive.
The decision you make today may seem insignificant.
The small improvement you make today may feel like nothing.
But keep stacking those days.
Keep improving.
Keep learning.
Keep believing.
One day you'll look back and realise you've travelled much further than you thought.
And maybe you'll stand in front of something you once had only as a picture and realise...
"I actually did it."
That feeling is different.
And I hope you experience it.
Not just with a car.
With whatever dream you've been carrying for years.
Keep going.
Your story is still being written.
And if the journey has taught me anything, it's this:
Work hard. Stay consistent. Trust God's timing.
Sometimes the dream takes longer than you expected.
But when it finally arrives...
You'll understand why the journey mattered.
